As we are leaders in recognising and respecting football talent and players from all over the World, It is appropriate that we show our respects to Three Top former footballers who have died in recent weeks,
Maybe some of us remember or know of them. Please post respectfully as is the West Ham way.

saw Harry Dowd at upton park as a kid in the late 60s, it may have been frank lampards debut against citeh, also remember him on the Mrs Merton show as a participant member of the audience.

Banj,I think it was a meet with Cliff, probably the Shakespeare .
I met up with quite a few overseas Hammers including young Jonah before the Eden Park visitation of Allardyces group of men in claret and blue last year,
Back to the thread, Josef Masopust was one of the finest midfielders of his time, A player of his ability would be most welcome in any Premier teams line up

Morning Hugh. Do you remember some years ago when I was planning to go to Auckland and meet up, where we gong to meet in Auckland or your Island......I can't remember and it's bugging me.

Not really in my time,Hugh. But I notice Denis Thwaites and his wife were two of the Tunisian beach victims. RIP

Sorry Guys, correct spelling is Josef Masopust,he was a Midfield Star for Czechoslavakia and Denis Thwaites was a fine speedy wide man, Harry Dowd was a great custodian for Man C
